of Northern Virginia
The Law Enforcement Benevolent Fund of Northern Virginia was organized with the sole purpose of helping the families of sworn, non-sworn and civilian employees of its member organizations by providing immediate financial relief in the event of a member’s death.
A group of employees from the Fairfax County Police Department formed the basis for the fund, starting in 1999 as the Fairfax County Police Benevolent Fund. Other agencies have since joined, prompting a name change in order to better reflect all members from several different agencies in Northern Virginia.
The Fund currently provides $25,000 to the beneficiary upon the death of the member. All permanent employees of the member jurisdictions are eligible to join.
The Fund is overseen by a board of directors. Click here for the Law Enforcement Benevolent Fund Of Northern Virginia Bylaws.
